Central Elementary School

About Us

Central Elementary is a public school in the Pascagoula Gautier School District serving grades
Pre-K 4 through fourth grade, averaging 225 students per year. We serve a population of students with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds.  Our mission at Central is to give all of our students a myriad of opportunities, academic and extracurricular, to give them the experiences and skills needed beyond the classroom. Students at Central participate in rigorous academics, as well as lessons in the fine arts, physical education, computer science, STEAM, character development, and also develop a strong sense of community. Central has earned an A rating by the Mississippi Department of Education Accountability Ratings and is currently ranked as number fourteen in the State of Mississippi.

School Notes

  • Clothes Closet:  If you have clean, slightly used pants or shirts that your child has outgrown, please consider donating them to Central.  We are also always in need of new socks and underwear. Thanks!
  • School Hours
    Students may arrive on campus beginning at 7:00 a.m. Please do not drop your child off or allow him/her to walk to school prior to this time.  There are no teachers on campus to supervise students until 7:00. Our school day ends at 2:45.
  • Attendance
    Students miss important instruction when they are out.  Please be sure your child attends school daily and arrives on time.  Also, please avoid check-outs except in the case of emergencies. For the safety of our students, checkouts are not allowed after 2:00
  • FREE Breakfast and Lunch for ALL Students!
    All students in the Pascagoula-Gautier School District receive FREE BREAKFAST and FREE LUNCH!
  • Extra Cafeteria Costs
    Extra items in the cafeteria in addition to the regular tray item will be an extra fee per item.  If you would like to add money to your child's account for extra water, chips or ice cream, please Click here to pay online!
  • Change in Transportation
    If you have a change in your child’s transportation please notify the office or your child’s teacher in writing.
